Richa Sharma

Richa sharma is one of the most popular singers of the Hindi film industry. She was born on 29th of August, in the year 1980. She is at present, one of the most famous playback singers, after the likes of Sunidhi Chauhan, and Shreya Ghoshal. Right from the time she started singing, she has been famous for her typical voice quality. It is believed that she got her main break when she sang for the famous number in Bidaai, which was the longest recorded song. She sings good classical as well as songs that come with  a blend of folk. She is a prolific singer, something that she got from practicing, and the will that drove her to make it big in Bollywood. She not only sings for numbers in films and movies, she also sings for Television as well. She has made her presence along side Anu Kapoor in hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which made her a popular face, along with a popular voice. Richa Sharma belongs to the Indian region of Haryana, Faridabad. She was born and brought up there. She was at the small age of eight, when she got her taste of stage presence, when she was invited to sing in religious gatherings. She is a student of Pandit Aaskaran Sharma. Under whom she learnt to sing Ghazals, punjabi songs, and as well as folk songs of various regions of India. That is particularly the reason why she is this famous among all the regions in India. Her highest time, and may be the peak of her career according to her, was the time when she sang for A.R. Rehman, in the movie Taal. Later she grabbed films for that particular reason, which made her famous all over. She also sang in films like Zubaidaa, Sathiya, Hera Pheri, Baghban, Khakee, Kal ho na ho, Om shanti Om and Saavariya.
