Madhavan

Ranganathan Madhavan or simply, Madhavan is a talented Indian actor, who celebrated his 43rd Birthday on 1st June with family and friends. Besides acting, he also writes and produces films and host television shows. Born on 1 June 1970 in Jamshedpur under the Gemini Zodiac Sign, he is versatile in nature and effective in communication. He looks for changes in life and gives value to friendship and important relationships. He is alumni of D.B.M.S. English School. In 1988, he represented the nation as its cultural ambassador from Raharam College, Kolhapur to Canada. He won the Maharashtra NCC Best Cadet Award and the Indian Championship for Public Speaking and represented India at the Young Businessmen Conference in Tokyo, Japan.

Later in 1996, Madhavan appeared in a sandalwood advertisement and was recommended for a role in Iruvar. But he lost the opportunity as he was too young for the character. From then, he went to work in several Hindi television serials like Yule Love Stories, Banegi Apni Baat, Tol Mol Ke Bol, Sea Hawks, and others. Madhavan grabbed a minor role in his first film, Inferno and his first Indian film, Shanti Shanti Shanti is a Kannada film. In 2000, he got his first success with Tamil film, Alaipayuthey which was a blockbuster.

Next came Ennavale but that was a failure. In 2001, he again tasted success with Minnale, which was also remade in Hindi as Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. Then came Kannathil Muthamittal that won six National Awards and many other awards at various International Film Festivals. Madhavan's career took a great turn and he worked in many movies like Run, Anbe Sivam, Priyamana, Jay Jay, Aethiree, and Aayutha Ezhuthu (remade as Yuva in Hindi and dubbed in Telugu). In 2005, he worked in Nothing But Life that received mixed reviews. His film Nala Damayanthi was remade in Hindi as Ramji Londonwaley for which he has written dialogues.

Madhavan received commercial success in Hindi in 2006 with Rang De Basanti. The next year, Guru also won him several accolades. The other films of this Celebrity include Evano Oruvan, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Yavarum Nalam (13B), Guru En Aalu, Teen Patti, Jhootha Hi Sahi, 3 Idiots, Tanu Weds Manu, Jodi Breakers, and Vettai. Madhavan advertised many brand products like Pepsi, Bajaj, TVS, Fair and Lovely, and was the pan-Indian ambassador.
