The gorgeous actress, Shamita Shetty turns 34 today and celebrating her Birthday with family and friends. She was born and brought up in the Bunt community of Mangalore and her native language is Tulu. Her parents are Surendra and Sunanda Shetty, who are the manufacturers of tamper-proof caps for the pharmaceutical industry. The popular Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty is her elder sister. But she moved out of the show after staying for 7 weeks, to attend her sister, Shilpa's weddng. In 2011, Shamita took retirement from acting and moved on to interior designing. This actress has previously dated the actor, Aftab Shivdasani. Later, it was also rumoured that Shamita and the Love Story 2050 actor, Harman Baweja, were seeing each other.

Apart from Hindi films, she also worked in few Tamil films titled, Raajjiyam and Naan Aval Adhu and a Telugu film, Piliste Palakutha. Her other movies in Hindi include Wajahh: A Reason to Kill, Bewafaa, Cash and she made special appearance in Heyy Babyy and Hari Puttar. The Zodiac Sign of the actress is Aquarius.
