Neelam

Neelam is an actress from Hindi Film Industry, who is currently a well-grooved jewelry designer. The very beautiful and sensual Neelam Kothari was born on 9th of November 1968. Her birth place is Hong Kong and it is the place where she had spent her early childhood. Later on, she and her family shifted their base to Bangkok. According to career horoscope, Her entry in the film industry was possible because of the eminent director Ramesh Behl. It was he, who approached her for the first time for a film, when she was in Mumbai on vacation. She gave it a try and appeared in the movie Jawaani that came in 1984.

Unfortunately, the movie didn't saw success but she continued accepting every offer and finally, made a good name through her film Ilzaam. This movie was a hit and starred debutante Govinda. With Govinda, Neelam has worked in around 14 films and out of which, 8 films did very well. Neelam Kothari worked in around 45 movies and of all, the film Ghar Ka Chiraag (1989) was her biggest hit that had Rajesh Khanna as the lead.

Her career started to go down during 1990s and she last appeared in the movie Kasam that was released in the year 2001. Although, her character as VJ Neelam in the hit movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was short, her performance was noticed and appreciated. Along with acting, he also took up her career in jewelry designing. She moved on from acting post her last release and started her own jewelry store in Mumbai in 2004 with the name Neelam Jewels. Neelam is also a Ballet dancer and she learnt it in Hong Kong. Her first marriage with Rishi Sethia didn't worked out and they got divorced. She is said to have dated Bobby Deol and for link up with Govinda. On 24th January 2011, she got married to actor Samir Soni and they both often make their appearance at several parties and events.
