Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is a young and talented cricketer, born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on November 27th, 1986. He is a left hand batsman and a part of Indian Cricket team. Since July 2005, he started playing One Day International Cricket and in early 2006, Suresh became a member of the Test Squad but he has made his debut in 2010. Besides, Suresh also play for the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy in the Central Zone. He is an occasional off-spinner and also a member of the 2011 World Cup winning team. Raina was very interested in Cricket from his childhood itself and started his career in 1999. His first success was becoming the U-16 captain of Uttar Pradesh. In the Indian Premier League (2008), he was the vice-Captain for the team Chennai Super Kings. But his performance in the IPL has given his career a boost and after the 2008 IPL, he participated in the triangular series in Bangladesh as a member of the International Indian Cricket team. His first century ever was during the Asia Cup 2008 against Hong Kong and this also happens to be the second fastest century in the Indian ODI cricket history. In 2010, he played in the triangular ODI final series against Sri Lanka and hit 106 runs off 115 balls and that was quite impressive performance of Suresh Raina. In ODI's he is the 10th player to win three consecutive Man of the Match awards and also the 12th Indian cricketer to hit 100 runs on Test debut.
