Today, well known, charming and handsome actor and celebrity, Shahid Kapoor is celebrating his birthday. According to his daily horoscope, he is the son of great actor and stage performer Pankaj Kapoor and actor/classical dancer Neelima Azeem and was born on 25 February 1981 and his birth sign is pisces. When he was 3, his parents divorced, and after the divorce, he started living with his mother and maternal grandparents in Junaghad. And he also shares a very strong and good relationship with his father and stepmother Supriya Pathak. And if we talk about his religious status, then once he said in his interview that because his father is a Punjabi Hindu while his mother is a Muslim, and his parents have taught him that he should not look on any religion or on any human being with hatred, and so he believes that there is one god up above.

As a child, he studied in Rajhans Vidyalaya, Mumbai. Shahid Khan has three siblings, named Sana, Ruhaan and Ishaan; who worked with Shahid in the movie Vaah life ho to aisi. His maternal grandfather was Anwar Azeem, a well known marxist journalist and author, whereas his great great grandfather was a film director, screenwriter, Urdu novelist and journalist, K. A. Abbas. His mother Neelima is the daughter of Anwar Azeem, a great one Urdu writer. Shahid Kapoor is a pure vegetarian. Then, he started dating Kareena Kapoor in 2004, but soon in 2007 they got seperated. But according to him, he still have healthy relation with her and in a recent interview, he said that he wishes her all the happiness of this world. He also said that he respects her and she is a wonderful girl.

According to his career report, Before starting his career as an actor, he acted in many music videos and adds, like Pepsi, with Sharukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji for kuch kuch hota hai and in the music video Aankhon Me Tera Hi Chehra, by Aryans along with Hrishitaa Bhatt. Later he joined Shiamak Davar dance institute, and then later he was seen in Subhash Ghai's film Taal, as a background dancer in the song "Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jawe".

But in 2003, he got his first break through in Ken Ghosh's moderately successful love story Ishq Vishk, where he played a leading role of Rajiv Mathur, appearing opposite Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala, and for this film Shahid Kapoor reeived Filmfare Best Male Debut Award, which is one of his greatest achievements. Then he did many more films, like Fida, Vivah, Jab We Met, etc. He is also an exceptional dancer. And now he is working in the film Rambo Rajkumar and also in untitled movie of Bejoy Nambiar.
