The much talked about actress in the recent times, Sherlyn Chopra, celebrates her Birthday today and she turns 29 this year. According to her birth chart, She was originally named as Mona Chopra but later she changed it to Sherlyn Chopra. She was born on February 11 1984 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father is a Christian and mother Muslim. She did her schooling from Stanleys Girls High School and graduation from Saint Ann's College for Women in Secunderabad. She had an interest in modelling and during her college, she participated in local beauty pageant named, Miss Andhra and won the contest. The Career of Sherlyn Chopra started with minor roles in some B-grade Bollywood movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik and Game etc. She also acted in few Telugu films like Vendi Mabbulu (2002), A Film by Aravind (2005), and Something Special (2006).

According to her career horoscope, Her performance in A Film by Aravind was good and the movie also turned out to be a superhit. She also did a special appearance in a Tamil film titled, University and an English film, Beeper in 2002. But she has received more offers to work in Hindi films than in regional language films. Her movies in Hindi include Time Pass (2005), Dosti: Friends Forever (2005), Jawani Diwani: A Youthful Joyride (2006), Naughty Boy (2006), Game (2007), Raqeeb (2007), Red Swastik (2007), and Dil Bole Hadippa (2009). Currently, she was offered to work in an English film titled Kamasutra 3D. Sherlyn Chopra landed in controversy recently when she posed nude for the popular Playboy magazine and she was the first Indian woman to do so.

In 2009, Sherlyn Chopra also became a contestant in the famous Television show, Bigg Boss (Season 3) but got evicted from the show on the 27th day. Sherlyn is also a singer, who in 2007, has released her own music album titled, Outrageous – End of The Beginning. This album has six tracks which were composed and written by Sherlyn herself. She released her next album in 2009 which was named, Dard-e-Sherlyn.

This Aquarian beauty has always tried to project herself as a serious performer and actress rather than just being termed as an item girl. Sherlyn is indeed straightforward and practical in her views but she is as well truth loving person with helping nature. She is very ambitious and strives hard with determination until she achieves her goal.
