Anupam Kher

An experienced and talented actor, Anupam Kher, celebrates his Birthday today and he turns to 58. He was born and brought up in a Kashmiri Pandit family in Shimla. He attented D.A.V. School and had his education. In his early days at the Himachal Pradesh University, he performed in a number of plays. His career exactly began in the year 1982 where he made his debut in the film Aagman. His next film was Saaransh that came in 1984 and at that time, Anupam Kher was 28 years old. He worked in other language films also like V.I.P and Little John (Tamil), Praja and Pranayam (Malayalam), Tera Mera Ki Rishta (Punjabi), Lust, Caution (Chinese), and English films include Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices, The Other End of the Line, Speedy Singhs, and Silver Linings Playbook. This Celebrity even directed the film Om Jai Jagadish and produced Tere Sang and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, which is a national award winning film. Anupam Kher was the chairman of the Indian Film Censor Board until recently and an alumnus of National School of Drama. He is the goodwill ambassador of the Pratham Education Foundation that improves children's education. He lent his voice to Carl Fredricksen in the 3D animated film, Up.
