Rajesh Roshan Lal Nagrath or popularly known as Rajesh Roshan, is a well-known music composer in the Hindi film industry and today, he celebrates his 58th Birthday. He was born on 24 May 1955 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father, Roshanlal Nagrath was also the composer of Hindi films. His elder brother, Rakesh Roshan, is an actor and film director. Rajesh is uncle to the popular actor, Hrithik roshan. He is the father to a son and a daughter named, Eshaan and Pashmina. Eshaan is all set to appear in films very soon while Pashmina is pursuing studies at Ecole Mondiale World School. Rajesh Roshan has composed a number of songs in most of Hrithik's films like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Kites.
Career of this Celebrity began on a bright note with the association of Basu Chatterjee, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar etc. The talented actor, director and producer, Mehmood Ali gave him his first break as a music composer for the film, Kunwara Baap in 1974. But he gained some name and fame with the score for the film, Julie, that fetched him the Filmfare Best Music Director Award. After that, Dev Anand gave him an opportunity to work for Des Pardes, Man Pasand and Lootmaar, which were all back to back hits.
Most of the melodious tunes composed by Rajesh Roshan were sung by Kishore Kumar in many movies that include Doosra Aadmi, Muqaddar, Khatta Meetha, Swarg Narak, Do Aur Do Paanch, Babu and Aakhir Kyon etc. A maximum of films, for which he composed music, were either produced or directed by his brother Rakesh Roshan. One of the most famous songs, Mungda..Mungda... which was filmed on the beautiful actress, Helen, is regarded as a landmark in cabaret songs in Hindi movies.
In 2006, he even composed the song, Jaane Tamanna for the internationally acclaimed film, Valley of Flowers. The other films through which Rajesh endured include Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Dastak, Papa Kehte Hain, Koyla, Laawaris, Kya Kehna, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Krazzy 4, Kites and Krrish. Being born under the Gemini Zodiac Sign, Rajesh Roshan is an open minded and easy going personality.
