Ramesh Rajaram Powar





Ramesh Rajaram Powar or simply, Ramesh Powar, is an Indian cricketer, who celebrates his 35th Birthday today. He is the right hand batsman and right arm offbreak bowler. Ramesh Powar was born on 20th of May in 1978 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. His brother Kiran Powar is also a cricketer, who, in 1994/95 season, led the U – 19 team. He was born under the Taurus Zodiac Sign. This cricketer is easy to understand. He never takes any decision instantly and believes in thinking the practical way.

Ramesh is a perfect Taurean who is loyal to his dear ones and gives importance to relationships. Ramesh went to Ruparel College of Science, Commerce and Arts in Matunga, Mumbai. He played in the Indian ODI team as an off spinner and even played for Mumbai, Indian Board President's XI and India Blue. In 2000, this Celebrity got selected for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. He gave consistent performances in domestic cricket and that caught attention and impressed Indian selectors. His contribution was major and notable during the 2002-03 season in the Ranji Trophy, where he took 20 wickets and was the second highest run scorer for his side with 418 runs at 46.





Ramesh Rajaram Powar was chosen in the Indian squad for the Pakistan tour. He played well and with confidence in the international arena. He didn't play again in the One Day International match until early 2006. For 2005-2006, he took 63 domestic wickets and that was the second season in a row for the cricketer, who had taken more than fifty wickets. Ramesh had to drop from the squad in January 2007, due to an injury and Anil Kumble replaced him as the second spinner in the lead up to the 2007 Cricket World Cup. He then, made his debut in IPL in 2008 and played for Punjab Kings XI in its first three seasons.





In the 2011 IPL season, he was selected by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala franchise. Powar was one among the five best players of India's domestic season 2005-2006. The highlights in his career include 34 wickets in 1536 deliveries, conceding 1191 runs at a bowling average of 35.02 and 4.65 economy rate. This year will turn out highly favourable for the cricketer as per his Horoscope. Career wise, it is a good period. Some problematic situations may arise but that will get solved as the time passes.
