Aaron Harang


Aaron Harang, who is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, celebrates his 35th Birthday today. He was born on May 9, 1978 in San Diego, California. This right handed starting pitcher had done his schooling from Patrick Henry High School and attended San Diego State University for completing graduation. During his early career, he was first drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 22nd round of the 1996 amateur draft but signing with the team didn't happened. After he came out of college, Aaron Harang was the drafted by the Texas Rangers in the sixth round of the 1999 draft and signed with the team. In 1999, he played the game for the rookie-class, Pulaski Rangers, making the 9-2 record and 2.30 ERA in 16 appearances. He was given the title as the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Year and was made the post season all-star team. Next, he traded with Randy Cullen, the minor leaguer to the Oakland Athletics in 2000 and the next year, he played with the AA Midland RockHounds. His major League debut for the Athletics happened on May 25, 2002 against Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His record of 10 strikeouts and seven shutout innings lead to the win.

The Celebrity had a peak career in 2005 who led the team with 11 wins, 19 quality starts, and 163 strikeouts. With 200 innings in a season, he became the first Reds pitcher. The next year, he led the National League in complete games with six and 216 strikeouts, which turned him into the most consistent pitcher on the 2006 Reds staff. Since 1960, Aaron is the only ninth pitcher to lead the National League in wins and strikeouts. In 2007, he made a contract with Cincinnati Reds and became the 3000th strikeout. In 2008, he led the major in home runs and hit his first career home run in the second innings. He was out of the Reds contract option in 2011 making him a free agent. Then he signed 2 year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2012, the player allowed 3 runs in 6 innings in a 8-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies to collect his 100th career Major League win.




Recently, on April 6th, he traded to the Colorado Rockies, who designated him for assignment and traded him to the Seattle Mariners. Aaron Harang was born under the Taurus zodiac sign which describes him as a practical, sensitive and straight-forward person. According to his Horoscope, Aaron will experience some difficult phases on the professional front but they will be very soon sorted out.
