Meera Vasudevan

Meera Vasudevan is a model turned Indian actress, who works in both Bollywood as well as South Indian films. According to her horoscope, She was born on January 29, 1982 under the Aquarius Zodiac Sign. So acording to her aquarius daily horoscope, She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra in a Tamil family to Vasudevan and Hemalatha. She completed her graduation with Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English literature. After her education, he entered the modeling industry and shot to fame as a successful model and appeared in several television commercials. Meera's Career in movies happened with the Hindi satirical film, Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula in 2003. This film starred the popular model, Milind Soman. This was her first film actually, but, her film in Telugu, Golmaal had hit the theatres first. In 2003 itself, she worked in a Tamil film titled, Unnai Saranadainthen, which had actors Venkat Prabhu and S.P.B. Charan in the lead.

With this film, she made her debut in the Tamil film industry. In this movie, she played the character of an adamant village girl and her performance was well received. This role has also won her the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress. But her next films, Anjali I Love You (Telugu) and Arivumani (Tamil) didn't do well and that made Meera Vasudevan to land at the Malayalam film Industry.

Meera did a Malayalam film, Thanmathra opposite superstar Mohanlal and for this performance, she was awarded the Best Female New Face Award at the 2005 Ujala-Asianet Awards. After a gap of three years, she again did a Hindi film, Jaadu Sa Chal Gayaa and followed by Tamil comedy film, Jerry and Malayalam film, Oruvan. Her other movies in Malayalam are Ekantham, Valmeekam and Khaki and Hindi films include Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii and Thodi Life Thodi Magic in 2007. The Celebrity mostly appeared in Malayalam film and in the year 2009, she had three Malayalam film releases titled, Orkkuka Vallappozhum, Decent Parties and Vairam: Fight For Justice.

Her another Tamil flick was Aattanayagan that also had actors Sakthi Vasu and Remya Nambeeshan. Prior to her success, entry and fame in film industry, she was selected for the ICC setmax campaign. There were about 500 failed screentests, after which, the Setmax ad shot by Prahlad Kakkar, had won the best ad campaign of the year. The noted director, Parvati's mother had noticed Meera, took her screentest and offered a role for her first film, Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula. For this film, she was nominated for the best upcoming actress by screen Awards and Sansui – PNC Awards. Currently, she is married to Malayalam actor, John Kokken and there are more movies of her coming in this year.
