Uday Chopra

Uday Chopra is the youngest son of the late Indian film director, Yash Chopra, who is also called as the King of Romance in Indian cinema. According to his horoscope, Uday was born on January 5th, 1973 to the couple Yash Chopra and Pamela Singh and celebrating his Birthday today. He has an elder brother, Aditya Chopra, who is a director, producer, general manager and vice-chairman of Yash Raj Films banner. Before becoming an actor, Uday Chopra worked as an assistant director for several movies that were produced and directed by his father and brother. As an assistant director, he worked for films like Darr, Parampara, Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge, and Dil to Pagal Hai. In 1994, as an assistant producer, he produced the film Yeh Dillagi, that had Akshay Kumar, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan.

According to his career report, The movie that launched him as an actor is Mohabbatein, that came under the home banner. This was also a debut film for the actors Shamita Shetty, Preeti Jhangiani and Kim Sharma but the leading characters were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai. This film became one of the biggest hits in the year 2000 and won several awards. His debut as an actor was a hit but following that, he faced many failures through films like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Supari and so on. A majority of films, in which he worked, are mostly from his father's production house.

The Celebrity tasted success again by becoming a part of Dhoom series. Dhoom and Dhoom 2, which came in 2004 and 2006 repectively. These were multi starrers and became super hits at the box office. But that is again followed by some unsuccessful films like Neal n Nikki, and Pyar Impossible. This year, he will be seen portraying the same character of Ali in Dhoom 3, the third in Dhoom series. Earlier, there was news that Uday Chopra is giving some break to acting and concentrating on direction.

Previously, this actor was seeing actress Tanisha Mukherjee, who is the younger sister of Kajol but their relationship broke. He is currently being linked up with the Rockstar actress Nargis Fakhri and rumours are also out that they will be getting married this March. Uday Chopra is a Capricorn by his zodiac sign and he can be stated as a person with good knowledge and intelligence. He is ambitious and tries to fulfill goals in a systematic manner.
