Vinod Kambli

Vinod Ganpat Kambli or simply, Vinod Kambli is a former cricketer who played for India. He is a middle order batsman who played cricket for Mumbai as well as Boland, South Africa. According to his horoscope, He was born on 18th January, 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He and his family resided in the Kanjurmarg, a suburb in Mumbai and it was the place surrounded by very tall buildings around. Kambli used to play cricket in the small available place itself. Vinod made his test debut during 1992/93 and ODI debut second match during 1991/92. When Kambli was 24, he played his last test match and on September 2011, he announced his retirement from the first class cricket. The last One Day International match that he played was in the year 2000. Later in 2009, he started his Khel Bharti Sports Academy and wished to coach at this academy.

He then entered politics and became the vice president of Lok Bharati Party. He contested from Vikhroli, Mumbai in 2009 Vidhan Sabha election. He didn't won the election but is still continuing the social work. He even gave total support to the Anna Hazare's campaign – India against Corruption in 2011. apart from sports and politics, he also acted in two Hindi films, Annarth and Pal Pal Dil Ke Saath. Vinod also took part in several reality shows on TV and mostly, seen as cricket expert and commentator on some television channels. Coming to his personal life, he is married to the fashion model Andrea Hewitt and they have a child born in June 2010.
