Priyanka Chopra was born on 18 July 1982 at Jamsdedpur. She is a versatile actor, singer and song writer. She is the winner of Miss World Beauty pageant 2000. She is among the most popular Indian celebrity and highest paid actress. She has won National award and Film fare award in four different categories. She is born to Dr. Madhu and Dr.Ashok who worked as Physicians in the Indian Army and that’s why she has to move frequently during her childhood, but she considers her home as Bareilly. During her teenage days she studied at her aunt’s place in USA. After that in 2000 she appeared in Miss India Pageant where she stood second and then latter she was crowned Miss World title that year. Though she aspired to study engineering or a psychiatry but Miss World title landed her to Film industry.

Today she is a very popular actress with number of super hit films in her list. She started her career with Tamil films. Her first film was Thamizhan in 2002. In the same year she started her career in Bollywood movies with the film title The Hero which was a big hit and for this she was honored with Best Debutant Filmfare award, then later for Andaz movie she got Best Supporting actress award, and in 2004 she got Filmfare award for Best actress in Negative role for the movie Aitaraz. By 2006 she proved herself as leading actress with the super hit movies like Don and Krrish and after that with series of few flops she once again proved herself with some excellent works of her with different characters like troubled model in fashion in 2008, feisty Marathi women in Kaminey in 2009, a serial killer in movie 7 Khoon Maaf in 2011, and latest super hit in which she performed as autistic women in movie Barfi in 2012.

Priyanka Chopra has also hosted reality shows on television, participated in stage shows and written columns in Indian National Newspaper.
