Sonu Nigam

Sonu Nigam was born on 30th July 1973 in Faridabad Haryana. He is known best for singing, acting music director, television presenter. He has sung many songs in different languages Urdu, Odia, Tamil, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada Marathi, Telugu and Nepali. He began his career by singing cover of Mohammed Rafi songs for the album Rafi Ki Yaadein released by T-Series. His style of singing was regarded as Rafi Clone. His first song as playback singer was Janam which was never officially released. He hosted Television popular show Sa Re Ga Ma in 1995 which gave him lot of name and fame.

After Singing in the movie Pardes he was known for his different style of singing and made a name for him in the film industry. He got National award and lot of appreciation for the title song of the film Kal Ho Naa Ho. He worked with top Music Directors of the film industry like A.R Rahman, IIayaraja, Anu Malik, Pritam, Jatin-Lalit, Nadeem Shravan, Mano Murthy, Vishal Shekar, Sanjeev Darshan, G.V Prakash Kumar and many more.

Some more works of Nigam are The Beat of our Heart a tribute to Michael Jackson, a remix from Britney spears track I wanna Go. He has performed in many countries and participated in star studded show in North America “The Incredible” with Asha Bhosle, Kunal Ganjawala and Kailash Kher. He also gave Solo Concert in Canada and Germany called Simply Son. He did some movies also like Betaab, Love in Nepal, Kash Aap Humare Hote, Krishna Krishna, and Taqdeer etc are few to name. He worked for various charities in India and abroad. He sponsors a child from the organization Crayon. He sang a song Titled Papa I’m Sorry for a cause related to HIV/AIDS. And he sang many peace songs for India and Pakistan. Sanjay Dutt celebrated his 54th birthday on Jul 29,2013.
