Satish Kaushik

The popular director, actor, and producer, Satish Kaushik, is celebrating his 57th Birthday today. This multi talented personality is known to appear in several successful films and delivering good performances in acting. He was born on April 13, 1956 in Dhanounda village in the Mohindergarh district, Haryana. He was brought up in Delhi, Karolbagh. In Delhi itself, Satish completed his graduation from Kirori Mal College. He then joined the National School of Drama in New Delhi, where actor Anupam Kher was his batchmate and finished his graduation in 1978. Satish even went to the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

The film career of Satish Kaushik started as an assistant director to Shekhar Kapoor for the film Masoom in 1983. This was also his first film as an actor. He put on the hat of director and directed his first film, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in 1993 that starred Anil Kapoor and Sri Devi. His second film as a director is Prem (1995). Both the movies failed badly at box office. He received his first directorial hit with the movie, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999). In 1987, he portrayed the character of Calendar in the film, Mr. India, which is very well known even today. His another famous character role is of Pappu Pager in the film, Deewana Mastana (1997).

This Celebrity is also a writer who has written and achored a TV countdown show, Philips Top Ten, which received the Screen Videocon Award. The other films which he directed include Mr. Bechara, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Tere Naam, and Milenge Milenge. As an actor, he appeared in several films like Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, Mr and Mrs. Khiladi, Aunty No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Chal Mere Bhai, Calcutta Mail, Road, Movie, Rascals and many more. He and Anupam Kher together have started a new film company and named it as Karol Bagh Productions in 2007.

Under this banner, the first film directed by Satish was Teree Sang (2009). His next project is said to be based on the life of Tansen under the Rajshri Productions. Satish Kaushik was born under Aries Zodiac Sign and he is an enthusiastic, dynamic and confident personality. At times, he turns impulsive and impatient.
