Sonal Chauhan

Sonal Chauhan is a popular model and actress who appeared in Bollywood and in some regional films. Today she is celebrating her 28th Birthday. She was born in a Rajput family on 16 May 1985 in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Actually named as Sonal Singh Chauhan, she was born under the Taurus Zodiac Sign. She is gentle, sensitive but strong and powerful at the same time. Her focus and determination are her strengths that push her in reaching her goals in life. Her family is from Mainpuri in Kurawali District. Her father is a police inspector, and she has an elder brother and sister and one younger sister. Sonal completed her schooling in Noida at Delhi Public School and went to Gargi College in New Delhi to study Philosophy honors. Post her studies, she took up modeling before entering into film industry.

Her modeling career was successful as she shot to fame by reaching the finals of the Miss India pageant in 2005. In the same year, Sonal Chauhan was crowned as the Miss World Tourism at Miri, Sarawak state of Malaysia and she was the first Indian to have claimed that title. In Delhi, Sonal was one of the top models and appeared in several advertisements for brands like Diet Pepsi, Hero Honda Passion, Ponds, and Nokia etc. She was also chosen on the cover page of FHM and The Man magazine and became the show's topper for the jewelry brand YS18 at the India International Jewelry Week 2011.

The first time this Celebrity appeared on screen was in Himesh Reshammiya's album, Aap Kaa Suroor. She caught attention of director Kunal Deshmukh who has signed her for the lead role in Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi. The film did well winning her some recognition in the industry. Sonal was then chosen to walk the ramp for many fashion shows and appeared in print campaigns for LG, Reliance CDMA, Hindustan Times and others. After Jannat, there is another director V N Aditya who was impressed by her and offered her a role in a Telugu film titled, Rainbow opposite Rahul. She did a film in Kannada titled, Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu in 2010 and Sonal was last seen in the Bollywood horror film, 3G opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh. With this movie, she also began her singing career with the duet song, Kaise Bataoon that is also sung by popular singer KK. Her other movies include Pehla Sitara and Buddah... Hoga Terra Baap.
